THE PUBLIC has always had this notion that politicians are hard to deal with, even if what you want to do is interview them about lighter and fun things they do. I must admit I have that notion too.

But as you get to know them, hindi din pala. Take for example 2nd Palawan District Rep. Abraham Kahlil B. Mitra for long, and Baham for short, na matagal ko ng gustong ma-interview. Finally, natupad din iyan a couple of weeks ago. He agreed to be interviewed last August 5 in my program at DYPR. It was a very light conversation and people were given an idea of how he is as Baham, not as a politician.

Hindi man ako satisfied sa sagot, siya I’ll take it. Looks like he’s really busy.

All you’ve got to have is adobong kangkong , and guess what… pritong galunggong. These two and he’s guaranteed of a good meal. Pambihira, I was waiting for strange steak or food recipes, but these are the only two he wants.

Barrack Obama, who is now running for president sa America. He admires his disposition in life daw at ang kanyang mga pagpapaliwanag ng ninanais niyang mangyari sa land of milk and honey.

If you know the song “Tunay na Ligaya” by Ariel Rivera, sing it, and you’ll probably have Baham singing with you. Ito kasi ang paborito niyang kanta. Favorite colors are yellow and red at ang paborito niyang lugar ay ang Balabac.

O, paano nga ba ma-in love ang ating congressman? Simple lang daw, parang nagpapa-cute din. Sun Tzu’s the “Art of War” naman ang kanyang paboritong libro dahil maraming mga leksyon dito na puwedeng gamitin sa pagpapalago ng personal na buhay. Wow, ang lalim!

In this interview, I’ve learned that the congressman whom we admire for his sipag at tiyaga is very kind-hearted. A good son to his mother too dahil siya ang madalas sumasama dito sa pagpapa-checkup at mapagmahal din na kapatid.

Jennifer Gardner of Ben Affleck is pregnant again

Nakakatuwang balita para sa dalawang ito because they are every inch a happy family.

We don’t have any news if Ben is starring in a new film. Let’s wait and see muna.

Terri Hatcher’s Uncle, who molested her, died of colon cancer

Here’s an update on Terri Hatcher, one of your favorite girls in Desperate Housewives.

Kung inyong matatandaan, Terri disclosed only last year that he was molested by her uncle when she was just 7 years old.

She help put this uncle in jail just a few years ago when she found out that a teenager committed suicide because he molested her.

Brushing shoulders with the Philippine rock legend

Teng, the editor of Palawan Times, was jumping up and down when she saw Pepe Smith (Joseph William Feleciano Smith in real life) at Neva’s on August 22. Grabe! Idol niya… Bakit hindi? He’s the foremost icon of original Filipino rock music.

At take note, very accommodating.

If you want to brush shoulders with the artista, dito kapag nandito sila sa Puerto Princesa, ay hindi sila maaaring dumaan para makapag-kape.

The recent entertainment personality we sawat Itoy’s was Gary Estrada, who was also very accommodating. Kaibigan pala siya ni Clink Hagedorn. Pareho kasing mahilig sa motorsiklo ang dalawan.

Ang guwapo ng Gary Estrada. Wala kang masabi sa kabaitan at kabanguhan.

Carlo Palo, bagong presidente ng JCI Puerto Princesa Kiao

We want to congratulate our dear friend Carlo Palo (of Robert’s) for being the new president of the JCI Puerto Princesa Kiao.

Otso PaSaCalle

Clink is offering Centro de Benito Y Aliva again as site of this year’s 8th Parti Sa Calle. Salamat naman kung ganoon. Let’s watch out for this big event ng JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, Inc. this November. Sana lang wala ng blackout-blackout. Hay… ano bang nangyayari sa Puerto Princesa. Puro na lang blackout!
